Tower Bridge stuck in “down” position, electrical repairs needed

Sacramento’s Tower Bridge is currently stuck in the “down” position due to a power outage last week, Caltrans said. The electrical outage occurred on December 17, and Caltrans said electrical repairs would be required. The bridge is closed to boaters but can be manually opened in an emergency. Officials said the power outages are unrelated to the downtown SMUD outage last week.
