Newark College Joins Association of Electrical Contractors as Education Associate

Newark College has been named a member as an educational associate of the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA).

This allows the college to deliver training to the highest industry standards and to keep abreast of changes in industry practices.

Newark College will be at the forefront of technical information, health and safety, legal obligations, via updates and meetings with the local office – this allows students to have information at their fingertips during their studies there.

As a center, Newark College will be aligned with a nationally recognized industry organization, ensuring their training is relevant, up-to-date, and exactly what learners will need to be aware of when entering the workplace.

David Inger, professor of electricity at Newark College, said: “Being a member of the ECA goes hand in hand with the college’s goal of producing work-ready students who can start working at the end of their course.

“Working alongside the ECA, which has a reach across the UK, allows our students greater validity which, together with our existing links with employers, provides students with the best possible opportunities and employers work ready students.”
