Focal point to exhibit products and services for electrical contractors

Focal Point will be exhibiting a wide range of cost-effective, easy-to-install products at booth 3248 at the National Electrical Contractors Association’s NECA show September 15-17 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Architectural lighting manufacturer, Focal Point, will be exhibiting a wide range of cost-effective, easy-to-install products in booth 3248 at the National Electrical Contractors Association’s NECA Show, September 15-17 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

One of the products that Focal Point will be exhibiting is the ID+ 4.5″ Downlight.

“I anticipate that electrical contractors at the show will not only be interested in the selection of new and proven products we will be exhibiting, but also in the contractor services we offer,” said Mike Thornton, director of marketing at Focus Point. “For those who may not be familiar with Focal Point, we have a wealth of tools for contractors to make their job easier, such as our field service team and our Quickship program.”

Contractors can take advantage of the Focal Point Field Service team, a group of dedicated professionals led by a former contractor. They usually respond to most inquiries the same day and take care of everything from providing installation advice and troubleshooting assistance to dispatching spare parts. As a vertically integrated company, the team has quick access to the manufacturing plant and inventory for fast moving parts, as well as the expertise of the Focal Point Engineering team and electrician Staff.

“Time is money and as everyone knows, those who can react faster than others are rewarded,” Thornton said. “Our Quickship program makes it easier for a contractor to meet tight project deadlines quickly because the program gives them a wide assortment of fixtures to choose from with a shipping window of just five or 10 days.”

“Some of the new contractor-friendly products that will be showcased come from our new Acoustic Solutions program,” continued Thornton. “These integrated luminaire and deflector systems simplify the procurement and installation process. We are keenly aware of the need to create fixtures that meet the needs of contractors to reduce installation time and cost.

The Acoustic Solutions program referenced by Thornton includes Seem™ 1 Acoustic, a flexible linear luminaire and baffle system designed to increase comfort and well-being. It will be displayed with lighted and unlighted units and is a suitable choice to meet the design and budget requirements of a project. The integrated lighting and sound management system uses Focal Point’s powerful Seem® 1 light engine. It controls sound using eco-friendly, patent-pending AirCore technology to maximize sound absorption with a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) per unit of 1.05. .

Other exciting new commercial products for electrical contractors include the ID+ 4.5 Downlight with round and square openings. Completely redesigned and launched in July, it offers contractor-friendly features such as a universal housing that accommodates ceiling thicknesses from 0.5 at 3 and provides options to modify trims in the field. This luminaire offers LED technology, offering improved performance and efficiency, easy installation and increased flexibility.

ID+ 3.5 The downlight, designed for shallow plenum applications and field changeability, will also be on display and is part of Focal Point’s Quickship program.

As for established products, Focal Point will be exhibiting Amica® 2. A cost-effective architectural troffer designed for shallow depth situations, it offers performance that meets Premium DesignLights Consortium® (DLC) status. It is also known for its integration capabilities with building control systems and is part of the Quickship program.

“We optimize luminaires with easy access to LEDs and drivers, and simple assembly and installation features such as Seem Assembly. At NECA, we will be showcasing Simplified Assembly with a hands-on demonstration of Seem 1, Seem 2 and Seem 4-LP, as well as ID+ 3.5 Adjustable downlight,” Thornton remarked.

“All the pieces are in place to help entrepreneurs succeed. Our goal is to educate them and continue to help them, and we hope to meet many entrepreneurs who are considering participating in NECA.
